Steven K. Lee: There’s not much to say about my favorite (and only) brother. He’s great and I love him. He’s always been one to challenge me and encourage me. And pick on me too, but that’s what brothers do best. Growing up I always wanted an older brother, and Steven has made a great one. We get on each others’ nerves once in a while (or a lot) but he never fails to make me laugh. He makes up ridiculous songs and does funny dances even all the way from Minnesota. And I know Chris is thankful to have another boy in the family when faced with the bajillion girl cousins.
Christopher Chan: Chris is sitting near me as I write this, making sure I say nice things about him. But I can’t think of anything.
Just kidding. One of the things I most enjoy about Chris is that he is always good natured when we make fun of him. Which we do. A lot. We should probably stop. But anyways, Chris is great to hang out with, not picky and very go with the flow. Chris is the grandpa of our “family” for reasons that are quite clear to anyone who knows him. He constantly amuses with his ability to be always cold, and sleepy, and for making robot noises. Chris (Wu) and I have both served with him (Chris Chan) at our church. Chris Chan is darn awesome. And single. Chris (Wu) says “If you’re interested, inquire within.”
Leon Shen: I was actually friends with Leon first. We used to be neighbors, so there was many a night when I would get an IM that said “What’s for dinner?” And then we would go get something to go and go back to his place and watch Power Puff Girls on his giant TV. Fun times. Leon is one of the funnest people to hang out with, and not just because he has all the cool electronic toys. He’s always generous with his time and his house, opening his home for countless meetings and fellowship gatherings. AND! Chris and I have a theory about how Leon is Batman. Trust me, the facts are quite convincing.
James Chen: “James, James, James!” That’s what Chris always says about James. James is too slick for his own good. With his quick one-liners and taking-care-of-little-children prowess, he’s quite the catch. I was going to put an example, but there are too many, I cannot pick. You just have to witness it in person. But for real, I heart James. He always comes through for me if I need help. And he brings flowers! Oh and he’s good friends with Chris too. They talk about football. That is all.
Alton To: Oh Alton… yeeeeeeee….. hahah. That’s what you think of when you hear Alton. He has been a great friend to Chris. Chris has spent countless night sleeping on Alton’s couch, first in San Diego, and then in L.A. when they both went to Master’s. He’s always been supportive, praying for us, giving Chris advice before we started dating, even driving down from L.A. to celebrate with us when we got engaged. Now he’s youth pastoring up in the Bay Area. Prepare for a generation of high school boys walking around going, “Yeeeeee…..”
…and our “Ring Boy”
Dennis Li: He gets more pictures, cuz , yeah, he really is that cute. I’ve taught Dennis in Sunday School for 3 years or so. He’s really smart, a great reader, a kung fu master, and always warms my heart when he can answer questions like, “Why don’t we have to make sacrifices now like the Isrealites used to?” Did I mention he’s six? (First set of pictures courtesy of Annie’s Flickr. Second set provided by Dennis’ mom from their recent trip to China. You know you love Asian photoshoots.)
